VELOGAMES 2020 🚴🏻‍♂️🚴🏻🚴🏼‍♀️🇫🇷 Tour de France Is Back ( Although Its Called The Big Bike Race)

With Ineos it's a mixture of things. I believe Froome (understandably) and Geraint are behind where they would like to be (Bernal is happy enough with his form), but they are both experienced enough to know how to arrive at the Tour in good form, but not top form - that will come during the race. I don't think they are actually bluffing, they just know that this race, and particularly under the strange circumstances of this season, is not really important to win. It's the Tour or bust. LJV on the other hand want to gain a psychological advantage to prove to Ineos (and themselves perhaps) that they are top dogs. The question is, are they overdoing it in order to prove that point? The answer will probably come in the 3rd week of the Tour.

Also - Brailsford is quite good at finding the right stimulus at the right time.
Sorry, couldn’t resist it

Yes we have seen what can happen in just 4 days at the Dauphine. A supremely confident Jumbo team that will almost certainly not win it now. Over 21 stages anything could happen.

I agree Ineos are still building up fitness to hit peak form during the Tour.
On the other hand LJV have looked so good this week, they must know they are coming into a real battle. Hopefully Kruijswijk and Roglic have no serious problems and come into the tour with no baggage.

My Velogames team has had an absolute stinker.
Dan Martin crashing out on day 1
Kruijswijk and Bernal crashing out on day 4
My other picks just haven't really been involved. It was tough to pick not knowing what sort of form the riders were in post lockdown

Final Result of the Dauphine then and a dominant win for Just a Kiwi from Cardiffdaffs. There is no Velogames for the Tour de France sadly but will put up the Road CC fantasy comp as we did last year. The next Velogames is the final warm up for the Giro which is Tirenno Adriatico. September 12.

Well done the winner. Great last days racing. I’m pretty sure if Roglic hadn’t have got himself injured the stage would have been so much less interesting.

The Bradley Wiggins Podcasts are back
Some really good discussions about the recent nasty accidents.

Signs today that Bernal may miss the Tour. Carapaz was pulled out of the Giro Della Emilia at the very last minute today fuelling speculation he is being saved for his replacement next week.

Wow.. With G looking exceptionally average in the Dauphine, Ineos could be really disappointing. Any news on Jumbo Visma injured members?

Well well well. Regular players of Velogames may have received an email this afternoon inviting them to a new game that has just opened called

The Big Bike Game

Now despite the fact that this is a velogames with 21 stages, deadline 12:30pm on Saturday and the roster is exactly that of Le Tour this is definitely NOT Velogames - Tour de France. Oh no sir. 😏

So whilst we already have two games going if anybody wants to throw in a Velogames team before Saturday please feel free to do so. Those of you who have played already well be automatically entered.

Well that came out of left field. Have changed the thread title. Thrown a team in. Took me two minutes to cobble together. Have also done the other two as well.
