Leeds after Brit ?

Get rid of him if possible. £40K a week and and 95% of the time he is pi55 poor and offers very little. One of our worst ever signings when you take into account the wages spent on him, the transfer fee and his limited goals return and performances. I'd be over the moon if he went and I'd suspect Gibbo would too. Money could be spent on strengthening a number of positions. Robbed us for 3 years.

that’s one way of looking at it; the other is his goals got us into playoffs and kept us in the championship

Unfortunately for Britt, under the Pulis system there was little support or decent service for him. In the right setup he will score consistently

I think that's a bit unfair on him. We did overpay for him but that's not his fault. If we'd signed him for £6-7m we'd be saying he's been a decent signing overall. He's about the same standard as Scott McDonald.

"Can see it happening if the money is right"

Absolute ZERO chance of Leeds buying him especially when they have just paid £20m for Rodrigo. Was surprised last season they were even showing interest and that was before promotion.

Getting Britt out will reduce our wages massively, in the post covid world, we could probably sign 3 decent players and their wages would still be 10k a week less than Britts.

Sounds good in theory but the hard bit is getting that replacement or two. If there was an alternative cheaper option I would agree - go for it but first of all we need to sell to a willing buyer who has the money.

This is my worry. Imagine we sold him, expecting a couple of cheaper options and we couldn't get them over the line, for whatever reason.

Haven't Leeds just signed a £20M striker from Spain? As for Fletcher being good enough for us - not really . We will need a couple of decent strikers to even survive in the Champs.

Again, I really believe given a full season playing as a striker he could score close to 20 goals. He managed to score 11 league goals last season which is decent considering he was asked to play on the wing for the first quarter of the season.

He's on a fortune and entering the final year of his contract. He will leave for nothing this time next year. That simply can't happen.

You can't let a 15mil signing leave for nothing. That's shocking business.

That said he will be hard to replace his goal record with little or no money. 15 in his first 2 seasons isn't bad. If he leaves now we have 1 CF at the club😕

He will get goals. I am sure the majority of champo sides would love him. The issue is that he doesn't offer much else. The fact he has 3 assists in 3 seasons says it all.

I actually thought he looked more involved and linked up well with Fletcher post lockdown. I'm not sure if that was a Warnock effect getting him 'grafting'.

He cant even score against decent teams in this division so let's hope orta hasnt done his homework properly. I'd rather sell him now than get nothing when his contracts up.

This thread was from zorro talking to a workmate 7 months ago about media speculation, then it being said someone would like Bamford back. It's now been hoofed post lockdown with no speculation - and Britt being captain the last 2 games - and discussed as a possibility

He really won’t. He’s never scored more for anyone in this league than us. He is extremely average and on ridiculous wages.
