England's population alone has increased by 7.5% in the last decade, and the UK's as a whole is now at 67.6m altogether.
Brexit has really 'done its job' then.

Ridiculous for a country this size - France is twice as big and has a smaller population
If we had the same population density as France we'd have 28m people. We need to remove 40m people from the country, so when do you leave?Ridiculous for a country this size - France is twice as big and has a smaller population
Has the population of the northeast increased by much in that time?
I'm not gay but this also describes my effortswell as a fully fledged homo I’m doing my bit to keep the population down by not having sex with ladies and risking a pregnancy.
You need to put your squeamishness aside and get jiggy with the ladies. It's your patriotic duty.well as a fully fledged homo I’m doing my bit to keep the population down by not having sex with ladies and risking a pregnancy.
Getting jiggy with anyone would be a bonus…..You need to put your squeamishness aside and get jiggy with the ladies. It's your patriotic duty.
Yep that was one of the arguments for immigration as migrants are typically younger and able to work and contribute to the NHS to help support the older retired population but the older population are more likely to be against immigration, when they need migrants, oh the irony!Problem is folk surviving longer, getting lots of expensive to treat ailments. The productive part of the population who pay for such treatment is shrinking. Birth rate is well below replacement.
The figure for Wales was 2.2% that I read. I would expect the North East to be around the same, at best.Has the population of the northeast increased by much in that time?
France is still higher at the moment.
They're 68 million.
France has also been famously underpopulated for a country of its size for centuries.
Just turned 66 this January so now get my pension and my extra private pension that I have been paying into while working. Worked for 35 years on top of my degree. Now will pay £3000 tax for next year and maybe more in the future so you will not have to worry about supporting me!Yep that was one of the arguments for immigration as migrants are typically younger and able to work and contribute to the NHS to help support the older retired population but the older population are more likely to be against immigration, when they need migrants, oh the irony!
Also straight, but statistically making the same contributionwell as a fully fledged homo I’m doing my bit to keep the population down by not having sex with ladies and risking a pregnancy.
