We should all be able to self identify as disabled, that would eliminate the need for us to have to prove we are actually disabled, allowing us all the opportunity not to work. We can all live happily ever after off the tax payers that are left - anything wrong with this idea?

Allegations pouring out now. From 3 different departments. New claims when she was in the International Development Office.

Patterns of behaviour - the issue which won’t go away. I can’t see how she can brazen this out.

The government are hoping to pass it off as a smart campaign. They’ll try to settle before tribunal because it’ll lights out if it gets that far

Trouble is settle with how many? Half the inner Civil Service? It would be easier to move her out.
 
This is a huge statement by the government and they look set to ‘tough this one out’.
Gove (who has already given his full support to her) will lead the ‘independent inquiry.

If these allegations surrounded me at work I’d quite rightly asked to stand down while the investigation happened. The risk of continued bullying would override anything else.
 
They won't be able to settle as I expect the entire reason legal action was taken was so it could be highlighted in the courts & not just spun by the Tory friendly owned media..

The case will be TV news without selected reporting - this won't be a storyline they can control & could damage more reputations than just PP..
 
As predicted at he beginning on this thread Labour (and Abbot) Happy to support alleged bullying when it suits

You are not still banging on about Bercow. Get some single standards please. Bercow bully Patel bully. Both now subject to the legal process.
 
When you did a little deeper. As suggested when I watched the press preview other night. There is a media agenda now against Patel with racist undertones clearly coming from high ranking civil servants who have had it easy for too long.

Im banging on about the hypocrisy of Labour calling for her to stand down while seeing another when it suits them to be elected to the lords. Not recognised by anyone though. Typical left good and right bad
 
I’m glad Bercow has been mentioned here. Funny how he wasn’t recommended for a peerage because they didn’t think it right that there were allegations of bullying. The very same government defend Patel despite allegations of bullying.

i know the right hate it when we point out their hypocrisy but, well, there it is.

A man who was responsible for the windrush policy threw Rudd under the bus doesn’t get his own way and courts the MSM. I see there’s no comment made regarding ludicrous bullying claim at DWP where I have posted better info than the media.

I hope Patel can ride out this media campaign and carry on with her job. About time someone put a rocket up some at the home office. A strong BAME to much to stomach for some
 
I’m defending someone against a organised media campaign (no bullying proved whatsoever by anyone at this moment) A strong BAME woman in a high ranking position doesn’t mean bully. Unless you get offended by a woman asking you to do something in a stern manner.

Your statement is basically saying you consider her a bully no matter what the outcome. Funny when the press print sensationalised stories about Corbyn they have done a hatchet job on him.. Do the same for a woman on the right and you believe it straight up.
