Zidane Iqbal is a name we were strongly linked with at one point. Ended up leaving Man Utd for buttons and going to Utrecht.. currently playing behind Ali Al-Hamadi for Iraq.. I did hear that he might be leaving.. some sort of contract issue? Still only 20yo and I think he was recovering from an injury when he first signed for Utrecht.
To make a seemingly impossible tenuous link even more so..in a position that we are pretty well stacked with. Might be a name that crops up again in the near future.. unlike his teammate Ali Adnan.. ‘The Iraqi Ian Harte’

Nobody with difficult names to pronounce please - most had enough difficulty with fairly straightforward names like Alen Boksic (Bostik) and Yakubu (Yakyboo)

Wait.. what if everything was set up to bring in this striker.. looks the part £1m+ can do a job low level risk.. we missed out on Tom Cannon.. Jay Stansfield isn't moving..
THEN something changes.. something like a new manager at a club.. maybe a players face no longer fitting.. priorities changing. What if Sheffield United don't fancy Cameron Archer anymore? He just isn't their type of striker.. we are not in the discussion.. because we don't have a huge wedge of cash available to make something like that happen.
£7.5m strikers we've been looking at.. well.. not we have a £10m wedge burning a hole in our pocket! We're getting up to that £18m fee for Cameron Archer.. the number 10 shirt will be free again.
Talk of Aaron Ramsey coming back on loan sounded a bit crazy.. 286 minutes for Burnley this season.. MAYBE it isn't THAT out of the question.
