Jordan Hugill

Even if Hugills behaviour is commonplace in non league, he's a professional and given that he had zero chance of getting that ball on Saturday he had no need to push Jones. It was petulant and it'll colour many people's opinion of him for the rest of his life. He can score worldies galore, but he'll always be that clogger who robbed Jones of one of the biggest nights if his young career.
But Doods. This opinion means you know nothing about football apparently

I don't care, I aspire to higher standards than arsey types like Hugill. It's only a game after all and I'd be more than happy to see the cheats, cloggers and stroppy arséholes like Braithwaite have to get proper jobs and not enjoy the adulation and luxury that their talents allow them to command. Fouls are part of the game, but they should be accidental, not premeditated.

You are spot on by the way

I think we'd have got beat still with Jones to be fair, but predictably, not having him really screwed us over tonight. I think the score line would have been less embarrassing.

Howson being played out of position led to the own goal that opened the floodgates. We had very little pace on the counter attack also.

FINALLY!!

so much pearl clutching on this thread it’s embarrassing…. “He PUSHED our player over off the ball! He should never set foot in our town again!!”

😅😅😅
Yes finally, someone agrees with you. Plenty more don’t, including me. If Hugill was a Mackem I could have understood his thuggery a bit more. It wasn’t just the nasty push on Jones, he was making niggly fouls all game.

He’s been making niggly fouls since playing for Marske about 12 years ago 🤕

Dear Jordan,

All you have to do is repent my son. And the Lord will forgive this sin. We all sin from time to time and as long as we can redeem ourselves and ask for forgiveness we will be forgiven.

I am a priest, if you hadn’t guessed. I know you deeply regret what you did to that poor boy Isiah. God does love you.

Let me visit you and we can discuss this matter in private. I am sure you want to get it off your chest my son. You can sit on my knee and we will bring this matter to a close……… Damn why did I say that last line. I was doing so well up to that point.

This Hugill thing shouldn't have bothered me as much as it actually is. But i wont lie, i was fuming at the time and still am now. So needless.

I'm not saying we'd be at wembley if jones played last night, but we'd have been better off with his pace etc.

I dont know if anybody did, as i only watched it via the boro site - but i found it odd no boro players give hugill any stick for it? Would have loved clarkey to smash him.

How are people defending Hugill?

He's nothing but a thug.

He's been gifted a lottery winning ticket and has used it to be nothing but a c*nt on the pitch.

Jones may have not meant we qualified for the final, but he certainly would have put a lot more fear in them and who knows how the game would've panned out.

All we know for definite is Hugill is a Grade A tosser.

It was an accident, the push was unnecessary but he never meant to hurt Jones. Jones wouldn’t have made much if any difference last night although we will miss him for the league games.

Let’s forgive and forget and he grown ups about it.

Can't understate the importance of Isaiah Jones, my Chelsea supporting bro in law (he's from down there) sent me a voice note soon as he'd seen him gone off injured on Saturday and followed up with saying in his words "need him injured for Tuesday hahaha" "ruined us 😂😂"

He went to the game at the Riverside as well.
