Rudy Gestede Interview

Wanted a 6 month contract from Boro if he got injured playing in the remaining 8 games.

After the best part of £10m for 7 goals in 3 years he's got some front asking for that.

Wow. £30k per week for another 6 months!! And Woodgate played him and seemed confident he would be staying.

Good to see he's been doing some charity work and "raising" £45k to build an orphanage.

By raising I assume he means getting donations from hardworking people giving up some of their income.

Maybe I'm being unfair and I'm loathe to criticise anyone doing charity work, but that's less than 2 weeks wages for him. If he really wanted to give something back could have just paid for it himself couldn't he? Would've been far easier and he could probably afford it far more easily than some of the people donating? Not sure it's something I'd be bragging about.

(To quote Newy, "typical Rudy move").

Just read this on Talksport twitter.....i can't believe this parasite wanted 'assurances' 😕. He probably charged for the interview.

The nerve of the guy and his agent to walk in to Gibbos office with 'demands'.

He would almost certainly been injured in 8 games and we would have been stuck with him for 6 months. He's never gonna get the wage we payed him so probably thought it would be another payday.

I chuckled more about the fact he's set up a charity because 'he's had a good life and wants to give back'. Give back some of your wages you fecking melt!!

We have paid more for players in the past. That said he has to be pound for pound one of our worst ever signings in terms of transfer fee and wages....then to leave for nothing😕

Head stuck where the sun dont shine.
Not many other clubs would have stuck with him.
Trouble is he was sitting pretty - he is crap and nobody wanted him.

has he offered to pay back everything he was paid at the club when he hurt his poor little nanna ankles that seems to snap the 2nd he tried to jump off the ground?

An utter waste of space. Who does he think he is to dictate when or not he will play?

Thank god Warnock had the good sense to play Britt and Fletcher together for the remaining games. Imagine if we'd kept Rudy on and persisted with him as our lone striker.

He's done absolutley nothing for the millions amnd millions of pounds he has bled out of the club, and wanted a another contract in case he got injured!!?? Hes got a bloddy cheek. With his appaulling injury record , the club obviously could not agree to that.

He can go and count his millions and plan the next club that he will mug off by pretending to be a proper footballer.

Give me a team of 11 Marvin Johnsons, who are actually willing to go out and put a shift in for the team, over this waste of space.

Good riddance.
