Euro 2024 tickets

We're planning to be there for around 5 nights, so might try for other games in the East in the next phase.

Following the draw, tickets are made available to relevant countries so might be worth signing up for a few of the membership schemes?

Not sure that will help. Pointless joining England Fans now as you will need "caps" to get hold of any of their allocation. I sm guessing that will be the case with any other countries.

Not bothered about England to be honest.

I've joined a few other schemes in the past for various trips, the bar is usually pretty low. Most are free to join, then it's just down to demand.

20 million applications overall does seem high, presume this is the most applications for an international tournament?

Tout-tastic

I applied for 4 tickets for each of 5 games in the first week in and around Dusseldorf / Dortmund / Cologne area. I got zero tickets sadly.

Applied for semi's only in any price bracket and was unsuccessful, not overly gutted at this moment in time. Plenty of opportunity to purchase between now and then, I managed to get 2016 tickets for England vs Wales a few weeks out via the portal and I remember England vs Russia (Marseille) being available on the day on the portal. I also had the opportunity to purchase England vs Denmark in the Semis at 2020 on the Portal but unfortunately couldn't go due to covid.

I imagine buying off touts now is dodgy ground given the tickets are digital and are activated at the Stadium, but I imagine there is plenty who did in 2020 and were successful, not a risk I'd be taking though.

Yes. And it seems from even on this thread that people are applying for tickets for their mates and their mates are applying for them. So no wonder there's so many applications.
Nothing wrong with that if tout bots are putting in multiple applications in - its the only way of increasing your chances of getting tickets if your travelling companions also apply - sadly it didn't.

I didn't say there was anything wrong with it. Though it does discriminate against those who don't have mates or want to go alone now you mention it.

Well apparently not. I know of one guy who applied for a single ticket for a number of group games both semis and final.. He got one group game, one semi and the final. Sounds like the bots didn't snap up single tickets.

Managed to get 2 x tickets for a second round match in Düsseldorf. No idea who will be playing yet obviously. Should be a decent little trip though. Will be able to watch 3 other matches while there in the fan parks etc.

I applied for 2 tickets for each day in the second week of group games and final. 6 games in total. Zero tickets.

I’m going to athletico Madrid v Barcelona in march instead. Win win

This sounds excellent! It was one of the ones I applied for actually and was hoping that out of the seven, I'd pick up one or two to take my son to and then watch the rest in the fan park. Fingers crossed that some people don't pay - have you been given a date to pay for the tickets by?

Applied for 8 group stage games, got two, both in the town that begins in G. I'll fill in the blank days in the later releases.

Not sure, I paid more or less straight away and cracked on with booking flights/hotels too.

Good luck with you and your son.
