I started a post last year saying exactly the same thing after Carrick came in and turned it around.
I appreciate that nobody is interested in listening to people’s grievances about the running of the club if we are winning it’s like that at all football clubs it seems.
The issues don’t go away. It’s clear now that a sizeable amount of supporters are not happy with the custodianship of the club.
There really isn’t too much point in debating things endlessly here,people have fairly entrenched views, as a supporter of the chairmen it would be nice to hear from him in the way he used to engage with the fans on the radio. He could set out his plans and deal with the criticism directly. Hopefully it may happen soon.

You seem to have been briefed to seed that (as I speculated) some of Gibson's loans are committed to be converted to equity at some point.
If some of these loans were committed and have been converted in the year to June 30th 2023, then they will show in the accounts that will drop shortly. Stoke owners simply waived £120m of loans to Parent in their last accounts.
Any major improvement in the horrendous debt position the club is in and which would deter external interest would be very good news.
The Club hasn't needed loans or equity injection to stay FFP compliant in recent years (FFP allowances/deductibles are significant), though it has obviously needed additional funding to cover the big real world losses made.
There was scope to provide loans AND inject equity. The Group therefore could certainly have chosen to inject more in loans or equity in the 6 years since 2016's injection of equity.
I guess the point is Rob, if Gibson is annoyed by my/other observations, he has all the information and could really easily just put the facts out there. He could have done at any time.
That'll be because he has been a lifelong boro fan through thick and thin and, after the likes of Charlie Amer, probably has some perspective on owners. We, Boro fans, have had some incredible experiences, simply because we had Steve Gibson as an owner. Now I'm not on the same page as him on some issues but I've seen Juninho, Ravanelli, Emerson and countless other stars in my team's kit, and watched insane moments of European comebacks, so I'm not going to criticise him because he gave me that and he gave me the fact that my club still exists. Sure, you want to criticise him, fine, but don't complain if someone calls you out as a spoilt brat. "I had an icecream yesterday, I want one today as well".

Why would you expect those types of posts when we have won three on the bounce and generally played well. If we had lost or drawn all three, people would naturally be questioning Carrick and blaming the owner for poor recruitment. Pointless thread really.

Many of us are lifelong Boro fans who have followed through thick and thin. I suspect all are grateful for what Gibson delivered 93-06.
People are entitled to ask questions and criticise, especially on a fan website.

Owners come and go, mangers come and go, players come and go but one thing that remains constant is The Boro, my team. And as such I'll always get behind the current manager and owner, until a new manager and owner are installed. I'll rise and fall with them, and enjoy the ride, cos it's my team.
If somebody had told me when I first started supporting the team that one Day I'd see my Boro in FA Cup League Cup and UEFA Cup finals I'd have laughed at them and told them to stay off the glue.
But, here we are, we've been to those heights, and hopefully we will get there again. If not, it won't stop my support for my team, it will just make me cheer them on even more when I watch them when back home...
