The weekend beer and music thread...

I think you're looking for things that aren't there. I don't know of any Kennedy connection and the hole through the world idea comes out in China, from a comic John Linnell read where a character shoots through a table mounted globe at New York and the characters see the bullet emerge through China, where the name Ng comes from. Looking for something to write a song about Linnell was struck that the surname Ng took up four pages in his local telephone directory, so there were four pages without a vowel.
Hope this helps. They are indeed brilliant lyricists TMBG.
I've just read much the same RK it seemed a bit odd to me, thanks.

I've always loved them as a proper working band. I have a friend who used to work in a bar in New York they used to use. They used to go into their office at 9 each morning, and write and rehearse till 5. Then they'd go away to record, then go on tour, then come back and get into their office routine again. This year will be the first tour I haven't seen them on since The Coatham Bowl in 1990.

I began listening to them after watching "Malcolm in The Middle" funniest show I've seen tbh Bryan Cranston at his finest. They had the show theme "your not the boss of me now" and then the hit Birdhouse which is very cleverly written.

Fad Gadget - A genius that totally passed me by and now I have a lot of catching up to do.
been trying to get hold of some Sycamore Gap Pale Ale but settling for a Punk IPA Hazy Shade of Jane

The drummer is a mate of mine. Actually we met as mid-century dealers in Camden Lock stables, so had no idea of our respective music biz backgrounds. He now drums for The Members.
I still have the Fad Gadget single Saturday Night Special.

I haven't seen you posting for a while and I'm doing a welfare check...!!!

I've been busy morphing the 2 most powerful people on the planet earth together to make a single superhuman being 👍
I appreciate your concern Nobby.

I'd have noticed if you'd been trying to morph me and Noel Edmonds together. Stop telling naughty fibs.
