Athletico Bilbao play in red and white stripes as a result of a kit colour clash in 1910 when they were invited to play the opening game against Real Sociedad in their new stadium.

And Sunderland's first kits were provided by South Bank.
 
This one sticks in my mind from finding it out on Reddit just a few weeks ago.

'Arctic' and 'Antarctic' simply denote 'bears' and 'no bears.'
Technically the bears no bears thing, whilst a good way of remembering where polar bears live, is just a happy coincidence. Arctic/Antarctic actually refers to the position of the constellation Ursa Major - the Great Bear.
