Give over, it was miles out. I never even bothered standing up as it was clear as day it was out
If that photo above is the final frame, it's in.

Definitely looks more in than the one Japan scored against Spain in the world cup. Was it Spain?
It was Italy and it was s Korea
Italy press hounded the ref Moreno
Sorry wrong World Cup
It’s a feature of Crooks these days that he looks slow. Was in line with it, it was out, crooks seemed to take a age to get to the ball
What strikes me about this, is how the assistant referee can say that is out from that angle.
Sure but I clearly saw daylight between the bottom of the ball and the white line. That photo is from the opposite angle to mine so is bound to look closer to the line but it really wasntIt always surprises me what constitutes out/in though, even if a tiny fraction of the ball which is not in contact with the ground is hanging partially over the line, it's in. Technically even when it looks completely out by the letter of the law it's often still in, like that Japan one.
That's his job. He has to call it as he "sees" it.What strikes me about this, is how the assistant referee can say that is out from that angle.
I understand that but there’s a measure of guesswork from where he isThat's his job. He has to call it as he "sees" it.
Agree. I think he went with the balance of probabilities. He maybe saw some green beyond but as the ball is round that does not mean all the ball is over. However enough fans with a decent eyeline are suggesting it was out so no real complaints. Well, other than they maybe need to get to Specsavers that isWhat strikes me about this, is how the assistant referee can say that is out from that angle.
Eh? What matters is where the circumference of the ball is in relation to the line. The position of the bottom of the ball, i.e. the bit touching the ground, is of no consequence.Sure but I clearly saw daylight between the bottom of the ball and the white line. True but it is a good indication of how far the ball was over, combined with the angle of view and 50 years of watching BoroEh? Show us the evidenceIt was in, and just goes to show why we need VAR in the Championship.
Well the highlights are online now. It looks miles out.
If the ball isn't on the ground, you can easily see a gap and it still isn't outSure but I clearly saw daylight between the bottom of the ball and the white line. That photo is from the opposite angle to mine so is bound to look closer to the line but it really wasnt
Can't tell from either of those photos. You can't tell from the south stand, you have the wrong angle. The only view to judge would be from the west or east stand in line with the bye line or close to it.It really does not.

That's both angles available in the highlights of the final frame.
The full curvature of the ball isn't miles out, from the first photo it's actually almost certainly still on the line.
