If a newspaper was created called ‘The whopper’ or the ‘The Mitty’ and it consisted of articles exposing journalists lies.
I wonder what circulation it would have?
You could have a league table, where you would be awarded points for each lie you told.
The journalists could be separated into a league system by either publication or country, or a domestic competition.
At the end of the season, which could be 12 months long, they could enter into the champions league, where they compete with scandal mongers from other countries.
Of course you couldn’t have points awarded for winning, or drawing, the only losers are the people they write about.
But, you could have a system that gives scores for the subject of the article losing their job, marital difficulties, suicides, admission to hospital or that the target had to seek help for the affects on their mental health because of the lies they told.
Extra points for their kids being bullied at school or their partners being harassed to the point of not being able to have a normal life?
It’s an alternative to the fictional account on the front page and an apology later on page eight.
