AJ v Whyte

I don’t have anything to say about anything heavyweight, fury included
Ah well, at least you've finally come round to Fury being a waster and stopped defending him.

There's plenty of talent in the HW division, it's a very different sport to what it was 30 years ago. People just need to understand the days of 15 and 16 stone explosive heavyweights are gone. It's slower now but these guys are much bigger than they used to be. If you don't enjoy, then don't watch it, but just calling out every fight as a bore fight is just childish.

I wouldn’t say I’ve been over zealous in defending fury in the past, just that others aren’t consistent in applying the standards the do to fury as they do to others

Fury comes across as a fun guy, but underneath that he’s hold traditional gypsy values which hold no place in a modern society.

Most talented boxer of a generation mind. No one comes close in the current division

Usyk is far more talented. The only question for me is whether he can deal with Fury's size. Unfortunately we haven't been able to see that fight due to Fury.

Fury deserves everything he gets. I stuck up for him for ages but the last 18 months he's shown himself up. He should have just vacated after the Whyte fight when he "retired". Saved himself a lot of embarrassment and chased his big money exhibition fights. Let others have a chance to fight for the belt and stop wasting everyone's time. The sooner he's stripped the better. It should be immediately after the Ngannou fight is announced

I’d love to agree with that claim, but without the evidence of him fighting any of the other top guys then, I can’t accept that’s any more than a hypothesis
Most people who commentate and are involved in boxing for a living who are not particularly invested in a particular camp tend to agree with my ‘hypothesis’

I would disagree with this. Usyk is higher on most "experts" p4p list. That doesnt necessarily mean they think Usyk would beat Fury but it does mean they think he's more talented.

But like BoroMart, I can make my own opinion, and from what I have seen of both fighters, I rate Usyk higher in skillset, persona and career achievement.

Joshua I imagine wins by KO again. It’s not exactly an inspiring fight though.

Whyte has looked a busted flush in his last couple of fights.

We’re talking about the heavyweight division not p4p. You just conflating the argument to suit your own agenda

Its not what you said. You said the most talented boxer of the generation.

If you meant best heavyweight of generation then that is different. You could be right. Sadly Fury hasn't fought enough elite fighters to confirm this with any certainty.

Nobody In the heavyweight division beats fury, he’s a generational talent.

I think Usyk will be beaten by Dubois.
I really can't see how Dubois wins this fight. Usyk will literally run rings round him and pick his shots at ease.

Dubois looked very anxious at the press conference yesterday. In fairness, this is first time he's had the whole world watching him, so that could also be at play. But he did not look a man ready to steam roll Usyk to me.

Dubois has been rushed right through his career. He fought Joyce too quickly. I don't think he's recovered physically or mentally from that defeat.
He hasn't looked good since. He's a sitting duck. I fancy Usyk to get a late stoppage.

Yes, agreed. He could get schooled.

I do wonder whether Fury is playing up again with his private life
Had the same thoughts. What is he filling his time with, so much inactivity, petty nonsense online. He needs big fights to keep him focussing and mentally strong. When he doesn’t have that, you worry for him
