How much should I pay for :

Private Dental Practice

6 month check up
Two side of mouth x rays
Quick clean and polish by dentist

Time in treatment room approx 35 minutes

Seen by young dentist and assistant

Its a clean modernised spacious building with two receptionists, probably 4 dentists and associates

The practice has no car park of its own. I parked in a supermarket and walked.

The practice is a located in a town of average prosperity, not wealthy but not economically disadvantaged somewhere like Darlington or Northallerton, in the Midlands

How much you should pay, and how much you will pay, will be two different things.

I think you will pay £300 - £400 for that.

I pay £9 a month and get two check ups, two x-rays and two scale and polishes a year. However, I had two fillings recently and it cost £300.

UR - What is the name of the insurance company

CC - Do you pay insurance aswell as that - £28.50 seems very cheap.

Surely a few hundred for the aforementioned treatment.
I paid £70 for an NHS checkup this week.

Recently paid £25.80 for check up, descale and polish, that’s classed as Band One.
Band Two - £70.70
Band Three - £306.80

I had a wisdom tooth removed recently, had initial appointment, consultation, 2 x rays and the extraction itself, was amazed it was only £90

I somehow got my wisdom tooth removed for free on the NHS, all the appointments and extraction were done at Queensway, Billingham. Glad the things out mind.

Not private, but I got a check-up, x-rays, and 4 fillings for £70 the other week.

Paying the price with my teeth for not going to the dentist for 6 years and having too many sugary things, but I didn't think the cost was too bad.

Went from check-up to treatment in 4 days.

I got quite a lot of work done recently having not been for so long, took a few of appointments, some extractions, I was very surprised by the cost given what I’d read and seen on the news.

You'll pay 2 completely different prices whether it's private or NHS. I pay £12.50 a month for 2 check ups a year and 2 cleans. A filling has recently cost me near £150 but I got white fillings and they are more expensive. I think for what your after you'll be touching £150.
