Away matches with Boro where you have gone in the home areas.

At Stadium of Light when Festa got sent off, think we won 1-0 courtesy of a Noel Whelan goal. Was hard to keep quiet when we scored .

Loftus Road a few times, as when I go a home ticket means getting in the pubs is easy and also the view is better than some of the potential possibilities In the away end.

John Smiths Stadium when Wilder was in charge.

Upton Park, Halloween 81, lost 3-2, they were given a penalty and an own goal and to sum things up nicely for halloween, I asked a copper for the direction to the away end and once in, was surrounded by folk singing about blowing bubbles. The copper deliberately let me pay to go in the home end. When we got it back to 3-2 I was nervy, they were not a tolerant bunch and I had to stay deathly quiet.

Roker Park in a pre-season "friendly" in 1968 - we were all in their Kop - got stoned by their "finest".
Elland Rd in 1975 when Big John scored twice, I was in their Kop, like an idiot I leapt in the air, luckily a few Boro were also in there and the Leeds fans went for them.
Goodison Park in the FA Cup mid 80s.
Maine Road in 1989.
Saltergate in 1987, I was in their main stand. The Boro were in the terracing opposite. The interaction between the two sets of fans was lively to say the least.
Hillsborough in 1990 (I think), in their Kop, when we were relegated at the last game of the season.

Anfield and White Hart lane. Can't say I really enjoyed it. Would probably prefer not to go than be in the 'home' end.

When I stood on the Kop it was through choice, I could have got a ticket for the away end through MSS but I decided that if I wanted to stand on the Kop this was likely to be my last chance, I wasn't really expecting anything special and it was more of a ticking off exercise, I went in at 2ish and could feel a buzz about the place even then, it wasn't the most noisy of ends but it did have something special about it.

Done it loads
Newcastle a coupe of times a defeat and a 0-0 early 00’s
Forest 2-2 fought back from 2-0 down 88(?)
Derby won one of Robbo’s first game
Grimsby- lost Robbo 1st season
Notts county mid 80’s cup win and early 90’s play off defeat to Warnock
Mansfield friendly
Lincoln city friendly before first ever prem season. Got beat 5-1, on the way out their fans asked “how many of your first team were playing ?” “All of ‘em”

Leeds and Sunderland twice.
Leeds because it was that or go home 2-2
Sunderland won 1-0 Bosko after a copper directed us into the fullwell. Spent the first half in there then escorted out, and Won 1-2 when Emmerson hit another screamer at the sol (got a free ticket and was skint so risked it).

Been away in a few big grounds, Old Trafford, Roker Park, SoL, St James’s, West Ham Upton Park, Palace, Fulham, Elland Road, Ibrox (friendly), Sheff Wed, Derby both grounds, Chelsea, Highbury.

Kept quiet, no hassle anywhere, fortunately the Boro don’t score away at the big grounds too often…

The KOP at Anfield against the Skunks..
Fulwell End at Joker Park - 82.
Kippax v Wolves
It might be because I've just finished a long shift but help me out here - are those matches;
Liverpool v Newcastle
Boro?? v Sunderland
Man City v Wolves

Ive done Elland Road twice first time when McAllister put a penalty in the back of the Revie Stand, second time when Britt scored a pen there.

Done Hull a couple of times (they really dont like us) Got tonked in the Premier League 1st time (they had some good players back then Maguire and Robertson played and Chuba Akpom was on the bench!) second time Britt scored again I think

Done SOL twice with an old boss from work, first time when Stuani scored 2, was funny at half time stood in the queue for a pint 'I cant believe we're losing to this shower of ****' was the general opinion.

Was offered a ticket last season .. what can I say, wish I hadn't bothered £35 in the Premier Concourse for the privledge.

Wasnt really any hatred from their lot, no we hate boro, just when they scored they started winding the Boro fans up

Newcastle think 79 won 4/2 Stan Cummins scored and I jumped of my dads knee with pie in my hand and it went flying on to some geordie guys head think we were lucky cos I was only 9 lol

Years ago I went into the home end at Joker Park. My cover was soon blown. At half time I was intimidated into going for a cup of Bovril by a few hard cases. I was told to leave one of my shoes behind in case I decided to leave the ground. I obliged. When I returned and went to put my shoe on someone has s**t in it!

Near the end of the match they 'asked' me to do the same thing. Again, I obliged. I was told to leave my other shoe which I did. When I returned someone has done the same thing in the other shoe. :(

As I was leaving the stadium a reporter from Tyne Tees Television asked me if I would comment on football hooliganism and whether I felt it was getting worse or not.

I told him I think football hooliganism will never improve as long as they are s******g in our shoes and we are p*****g in their Bovril!

Only done it three times - all against my will really. Plymouth Manchester United and Sunderland. Not enjoyable and i won’t be doing anymore !

Newcastle in the Gallowgate. I think we had to win/draw to avoid relegation. Nobby Solano had a last minute penalty and blazed it over the bar. The whole of gallowgate sat down and me and me brother jumped up. Fortunately our Geordie mates were big lads so prevented the pile on
Must have been the 2-1 win in 2000/01.
A double from Boksic and then Nobby missed an 85th min penalty.
There were still about 10 games left so not quite a relegation decider - but it felt like it at the time 🙂
