Interested in what, passing the lads coats who are sat on the bench, as he won't even make the bench for either. No disrespect to Hackney of course, but this is the centre-mid of the team who almost won the league and the other should have been in the champions league comfortably.
He's a long way away from a prem move like that, even for the bench, and they aren't going to pay 20m for someone to not make the bench, not now, and we won't sell for less than that as he's got 3 years left on his contract. Why would we, when next year he's going to be worth a lot more than whatever value we put on him now. We could hold onto him for two years, quite easily and would struggle to spend the money on someone better, who would actually come.
The only way this could make sense is if Barlaser just took his place, which he probably could do, and we spent the money on Giles, and Ramsay and had change. But both of them wouldn't commit to a 3-4 year deal in the champo, so it's kind of irrelevant.
We could of course sell with a 1-2 year loan back agreement, but not many clubs will be up for paying 15m and then doing that, in case they got injured or had a nightmare etc.
I really rated Tav, who was our best player when we sold him, but Hackney will likely have a higher ceiling.
