Im not a fan, but like you say - he knows how to get a job done. Looks like Reading are condemnd to the third tier next season.

The man deserves his plaudits, his achievement is incredible, I can’t believe I doubted him, this is without doubt his biggest ever achievement for me when you consider the opposition he had to face from the beginning. I will never live it down and he will be gloating and rightly so.

Many years ago a good friend of mine, now sadly departed, held his wedding reception at the hotel in which NW was staying. A couple of the kids (previous marriage) recognised Neil and asked for his autograph. He came over to them and spent a few minutes chatting before posing for piccies (pre smartphone era).
