Sunderland are gonna make the playoffs..

According to some of their supporters Mowbray was told not to win last night by their bosses because they are not ready to go up 🤣

Yes I’ve heard this as well not about last night but just in general. As in they aren’t bothered this year so aren’t really trying.

Sunderland WWW - tough West Brom, Watford & Preston
Blackburn WWDDL - one result down Preston, Burnley & Luton
West Brom LWDW - Sunderland, Sheffield & Norwich to go
Milwall WWL - Wigan, Blackpool & Blackburn
Coventry DWWL - Reading, Birmingham & Boro
Preston WWWL - done
Norwich WWWD - done
Watford WLWW - done

If Sunderland get a result at West Brom..

Boro
Luton
Millwall
West Brom

Those are the 4 to finish in the PO's IMO.

Coventry with an outside chance.

I don't think any of Norwich/Sunderland/Blackburn/Preston are good enough.

Only 2 spots available now
Yep.

And that's how I think they'll finish.

3rd Boro
4th Luton
5th Millwall
6th West Brom.

West Brom are the last team I want to face in the PO's too as they have some good players - who have underperformed this season - who could (and probably will) step up and cause us problems.

The rest of the teams in and around the play offs don't worry me at all.

"We didnt wanna go up this year, we're not ready. We'll rebuild in the summer and smash the league and win the title by Easter next year"

"Rebuild in the summer" = selling their better players and replacing with loans.

Gonna be a few tears shed on Wearside when PSG sign Stewart.......

Sunderland are just our unofficial feeder club. If we dont go up this year, Stewart will be coming here next season. He'll be the latest in a long line of sunderland's star players who made the jump up to Middlesbrough. Leadbitter, Watmore, McNair all out grew sunderland and came here.

Is Stewart good and dynamic enough to play in a carrick side though I’m not so sure more a warnock wilder style.

I'm not sure any other striker in the championship would get in our starting 11.

Gyokeres?
Ndiaye?
Pedro?

I cant think of any others who might get in.

I feel the winner of the WBA and Sunderland game will get the 6th spot.

Sunderland play Watford at home who are in disarray and Preston away final game, who by then may not have anything to play for.

Mind you, we know ourselves that playing Preston away on the final day isn't easy.

Gyokeres is probably the best player in the league for me but it's marginal because there are some other good players. He could play the 9 ahead of Akpom in the 10. Archer is just as good, especially in our system, so it's not like there would be a big improvement. I think we probably have more chance of signing Gyokeres for next season though as he's not with a PL team. Especially if they don't even make the playoffs this season.

Of them all, Gyok and Ndiaye would improve us, but I think it's the squad they'd improve and not necessarily the first 11.

Chuba is undroppable at the moment and I honestly think Archer is the best striker in the league. He's a Premier League striker playing Championship football.

We have the 2 best strikers currently and I wouldn't swap them for anyone.
