I am out of the loop with him? He went back to Argentina on loan.

Is he still on the books will be back?

Does we need to call him Marton Payero or Martin Parmeyro to make him sound more Teesside.

I look at Mac Alister at Brighton who is valued at 60m after 1 good season.
 
He comes back in the summer right? I'd like him to have a Chuba like boro comeback as I do think he has something to offer. Trouble is if we go up we be buying a proper number 10 I imagine

Ridiculous that mate come on. He has scored 27 goals majority coming from playing as behind a striker. It’s his best position now. There isn’t a chance he is going back upfront while Carrick is here.
 
Also, Payero not really a number 10 either.

Not sure where he'd fit into our system. Possibly on the right in Forss' position?

He's more of an attacking number 8 if anything.

I agree that probably is his most natural position, but think there are concerns over his tracking back and positional sense. Not sure he's ever played CM in a 2 before? Usually in a 3.

So unless we signed an absolute destroyer to play alongside him, I think it'd leave us too open.

In some ways a similar issue to what we had with McGree for a bit, which is why I wonder if it might be the same solution.

(In the hypothetical world he comes back and works his back into the first team squad of course).
