Foods youve always hated but people think theyre acceptable.

Pasta.

A very frustrating thing to dislike as it's everywhere and it basically rules out most Italian restaurants for me unless I want pizza.

Can't really see what you can dislike about pasta, it's pretty flavourless. It's just something to accompany the sauce.
Unless it's just a texture thing as that is my biggest bork factor with baked beans. That and they're covered In a sickly sweet and cheap faux tomato sauce.

Calamari needs to be cooked right. Liver tastes like pish. Liquorice is just wrong along with cod roe and brawn. Other than those I find most more than acceptable. Except for artichoke. I agree. That's vile.

Learnt to love liquorice....got some tablets from Holland and barrett after a good chat with one of their advisors. Been on acid reflux medication for years (lansoprazole)...have only had 2 in 2 months now use the liquorice ones instead....absolute game changer!!

It's the texture, things like penne genuinely makes me gag and I'm not really sure why.

I can get away with spaghetti bolognese or fusilli in a tuna pasta bake, but that's about it.

Similar taste but I find aniseed acceptable but liquorice just makes me gag.

Do tell, which ones, as an Omeprozole user, you might make me a happy 🐰

For a start, never eat bolognese with spaghetti. It should always be made with tagliatelle. There's no such thing as spaghetti bolognese in Italy. I've always preferred bolognese with tagliatelle as it soaks up the flavour more. Yet I only found out that fact a few years ago. 👍

These. Take 2 a day to start and then I'm down to one.
Woman in the shop reckons can get to a point of of just having one when feel symptoms come on. Still have the lansoprazole in the house for when I have a heavy beer/spicy food night.
