Languishing in the Brighton reserves and cant get a game. Outstanding footballer at 21 years old. Surely Messrs Carrick and co can bring him to a bigger club than Brighton ?
He and Hackney the future of Centre Midfield post Jonny howson
 
Would prefer to utilise Hackney and go for a different type of player alongside him with Howson ready to step in too if we go up. Gilmour too similar too Hackney and so far hasn’t shown anything really since he first broke though

Yeah I’d like a more physical type alongside Hackney to eventually replace Howson.


Can we get De Roon back and use him properly?!

Yeah definetly need some physicality in the Prem but obviously someone still good technically too and with a goal presence. If McTominay doesn’t get much game time between now and end of season I’d be putting a bid in for him. Physical, good energy, was class for Scotland and Carrick knows him.
 
Mctominay not a bad shout at all.


Was linked with the geordies I think, so might be a bit expensive for us. This week away with Scotland has probably doubled his price as well 😂

Yeah we maybe not be able to get him really but he’s defiently the type of player we would need. Hopefully the scouts are working hard.

Could see him at Newcastle to be fair.

Think the question most people are asking is what has Gilmour done for 2 years?
 
Big problem last time we went up was that we had to play a three in midfield, to cover up our deficiencies in not being able to play a midfield two. It's a tough area to play as a two, but that's how Carrick likes to play. Be interesting to see if that is an area of the pitch we look to strengthen if we go up. We'll have Howson, Hackney and Barlaser. Assuming we don't buy Mowatt, that leaves one spot open. Not sure who we would buy. Maybe some foreign lad that Scott has identified.
