Neil Warnock on Sam Morsy

"There's no way I wanted him to leave. What a good pro he is. For some reason the Chief Executive wanted him gone, they couldn't wait to sell him"

He is a bit of a populist isn't he ol Neil. Says things that will go down well with his listeners/readers

Warnock must have agreed terms, been ready to travel, then been told the club are going a different way by almost every club in the league, according to him.

He was absolutely dire, totally unsuited for a team supposedly attempting to figure at the top end of the Championship. Immobile, lacking pace and passing poor.

Picked up so many yellows due to his lack of mobility and pace, not because of his tenacious spirit.
Nailed it

Whatever the reason, there's no chance Warnock doesn't know why the club sold Morsy.

Very unlikely it was for financial reasons given the small numbers involved. Won't have been for football reasons, that would've been Warnock's call.

So it's almost certainly non footballing reasons. The COVID thing seems the most plausible, but we'll probably never find out.

There was some posters in here that really rated him. Kept bringing him up if we had a poor result or Ipswich won.

I haven’t heard him mentioned for a while. Is he still at Ipswich? Might be a decent league one player.
