Marcus Forss the development player

I really like him too - he works so hard that almost no ball is a lost cause (there was one in particular in the second half where he slid miles to win a ball he had no right to get to) and his finishing is strong. I felt sorry for him when he was dropped - he'd had one or two quiet games, but didn't deserve to lose his place.

I think we'd all be a lot healthier if we stopped obsessing over things former managers have said and instead focussed on what we have.
Wilder has a particular style of play so it isn't a given that a new player would come in and slot straight into the team. Maybe 'development' was the wrong word to use, but it's the sort of management speak we hear all the time.

Sounded more like he was writing him off to me, along with one or two others who have more than proved their worth.

It was Wilder and his pathetic stubborn ways. He wanted Gayle and McGoldrick. Thankfully the club had other ideas and wanted young, hungry players with potential. Marcus was then cast aside because Wilder spat his dummy out as he didn't get who he wanted.

I really like Forss. He works hard for the team but he’s probably the most direct attacking threat we have too. Akpom is deservingly getting the attention but Forss is ticking over nicely with goals every couple of games. I can see him taking the central striker role eventually.

He's the new Stuani. Clearly an excellent finisher but also as fit as a horse; I wouldn't mind betting that his endurance and running stats are comparable to Tav's. To be up there in the box in the 100th minute of the game to clinically finish a move is really impressive.

Very good player at this level.

He's not the only 1 who is looking alot better in this system with MC as manager. Makes me wonder if we don't go up, how Carrick could get Payero playing as he showed glimpses of class at times aswell.

We are a far better balanced team with him on the right hand side.
Last two games before, trying to play Ramsey or Mcgree on the right wasn't as affective.
Think Carrick might now stick with Forss on the right, and alternate between Mcgree and Ramsey on the left.

Love his work rate, especially chasing lost causes as it inspires the rest of the team even more. Could with cutting out the daft yellow cards though.

You would like to think he could work with Payero. We definitely need options in midfield. We will lose Mowatt no big deal given the amount of minutes he's played and Barlaser looks a bit ordinary ATM moment but may yet come good. Plus Howsons age even though he is looking like a 24 year old at present.

Would you think Payero may be interested in a return?
I think he will.

Better in that position than Stuani. I don't really think Stuani was that suited to it other than being tactically disciplined.

Both excellent finishers mind.
