He did as well as the other central midfielder while he was on. Were you expecting for him to turn a struggling team into a dominating team?He never settled. He got worse.

Agree. Can see what Mowatt brings when he comes on. Was surprised he never came on tonightHes got a lot to prove being compared with other players who have came in and had a big impact and also following in crooks foot steps.
He has been way off and needs to start doing the basics better. Mowatt looks a better option at the moment.
I did. We all make mistakes, thanks for reminding me.To be fair you once told McNair to get out of this club
Just a few passes to Boro players would have been nice. It’s been a theme in his cameos. Hoping for better next time he gets minutesHe did as well as the other central midfielder while he was on. Were you expecting for him to turn a struggling team into a dominating team?
To be fair, I don't think he was pigeon-holing you, just commenting on the general way players who aren't on it from the second they pull on the shirt are criticised.Aye, 2 players I backed from the start. Stop putting all Boro fans in the same box.
You think Carrick should have been looking to close the game down?Agree. Can see what Mowatt brings when he comes on. Was surprised he never came on tonight
This is just a thread on the start of his career though. I’ve not written him off so there is no need to say I will look silly. Just calling it as I’ve seen it so far. Hopefully he gets better and settles it’s early daysTo be fair, I don't think he was pigeon-holing you, just commenting on the general way players who aren't on it from the second they pull on the shirt are criticised.
It happens at all clubs and sometimes those first impressions are right, other times they end up looking silly.
"Trust the process" as Jedi always says.
He was woeful tonight but I don’t think it was the right time to introduce him when he hasn’t had much game timeI did. We all make mistakes, thanks for reminding me.
Nothing I have said about Barlaser is writing him off, just a slow concerning start. A lot of people around me were saying the same thing too
Hackney battled like fook today, got stuck in well I thought, but yeah his, and everyone else‘s passing left a lot to be desired.Hackney wasn’t great tonight I agree, but the point is we know he’s a good player. Barlaser has had a slow start. That’s all.
You think Carrick should have been looking to close the game down?
What? You think Carrick should have been looking to close the game down?
He did make them, you were probably too worked up after his first pass or two.Just a few passes to Boro players would have been nice. It’s been a theme in his cameos. Hoping for better next time he gets minutes
I wouldn’t have brought him on either. But he was brought on, and again he never showed much. Hence the thread. He needs to step up and make a difference soonHe was woeful tonight but I don’t think it was the right time to introduce him when he hasn’t had much game time
That's what he uses Mowatt for. Control the game when we're winning to see it out. What?
he gave the ball away more than he kept it unfortunately. It’s a shame cos his game is clearly about dictating play.He did make them, you were probably too worked up after his first pass or two.
Might have been a better option than barlaser opening the game up for them. You think Carrick should have been looking to close the game down?
Again, I wasn't talking about you specifically, more football fans in general. This is just a thread on the start of his career though. I’ve not written him off so there is no need to say I will look silly. Just calling it as I’ve seen it so far. Hopefully he gets better and settles it’s early days
