Hi Sportsfans, a comfortable 5-0 win against a very poor Reading side who didn't have a shot on target. It was a great afternoon for Chuba who scored his 20th and 21st League goals of the season. The first Boro player to score 20 in the league since Bernie Slaven, 33 years ago
For Reading, No 2 Andy Carroll gallumped about the pitch as only he can, but at least managed to register a shot. Tried to link things together and made some defensive clearances.
No.10 Tom Ince buzzed around in midfield but made no headway, his set piece deliveries were poor, the failure of one to beat the first man just before half time resulted in the Ramsey breakaway goal.
No 8 Geoff Hendrick, who Boro were linked with at one point looked pedestrian at best and completely bypassed in the midfield.
No.7 Shane Long is never a left winger and his performance reflected that. He should have been upfront with Carroll....
I like No.24 Naby Sarr he's a no nonsense defender and made some good blocks, but he just couldn't cope with the pace of our attacking play.
This weeks choice is No 20 Cesare Casadei provided lots of energy in the midfield and made some timely interceptions and tackles before fading in the second half. This Italian U21 international is still only 20 and on loan from Chelsea, he can only get better.
Chelsea paid 15M Euros for Casadei from Inter Milan and have him tied down to a 6 year contract...
Another one for the future, he's in the famous Notebook guys
