Middlesbrough Supporters Forum (MSF) is sponsoring Boro striker Duncan Watmore for the rest of the season.

MSF will ‘donate’ the sponsorship to help raise the profile of local charities including MFC Foundation, Middlesbrough Food Bank and Zoe’s Place.

Player sponsors receive a number of benefits including a logo and description in matchday programme to highlight the charities and signed shirts to raffle or auction to raise much needed funds.

It is hoped that Duncan will join MSF members for an informal chat, giving him the opportunity to meet Boro fans at a time when supporters are unable to attend matches or club events.

Mark Motley, chair of Middlesbrough Supporters Forum, said: “We’re delighted to both sponsor one of our newer players, support our football club in a tangible way and help some fantastic good causes that do so much to help people across Teesside.

“Charities are really suffering during the pandemic and as Boro fans we want to do our bit to remind people of the great work they do, and hopefully raise some money as well.”
