    Man citys fans

I just do not understand fans that jump on to a club that becomes successful and glamorous if they have no prior connection to it and its not their local club.. My mate is a Gooner and I go a couple or three times a season with him. I like Arsenal and want them to do well. I really wanted them...

    Giles loan ended

Gibson said “And what does £4m get you these days, other than a left back who is no good”. Might not have been meaning Giles, but I thought it was what he was inferring on the night.

    Riley McGree

I think McGree if fit is a first team starter from the current squad, but I do think we will have better in that position by the start of next season.

    Man citys fans

I take a different view about our support. I think it has been pretty good given relatively poor home form until very late in the season. Arsenal was electric at times today, especially on West Hams goal, but not all match. I’ve heard Old Trafford, Anfield, Etihad, Bridge, St James like morgues...

What would you do with a problem like Dael?

What, like Harry Kane… He will start the season in the team if he is fit and rightly so.

5 years ago today we parted company with one of the worst managers we ever had

Dear me. Pulis wage bill £48.7m in the year of the Villa fiasco. Then £40.1m in the year of the no show despite PP’s. Carrick wage bill in play off season £29.6m. Last season Gibson indicated is lower than this. pulis sold players who were assets in his second season that anybody could have...

5 years ago today we parted company with one of the worst managers we ever had

Bamford yes a benefit in that season profit of £4m over book value of £3m. Nearly all spunked on Jordan Hugeshorts loan fee and wages. Saville going just covered his outstanding book is all, wages spent on other player. McNair nothing generated. Flint would have been an impairment or negative...

5 years ago today we parted company with one of the worst managers we ever had

Flint was £7m rising. Sold for £4m, Book value at sale £5.3m. Loss at sale £1.3m. Cost of a year of ineptitude: Amortisation £1.7m Loss at sale £1.3m Wages £1m Agent fees at least £1m Total £5m. Saville was £7m rising. Sold for £1.8m after 3 woeful seasons from vanilla man. Neutral at sale...

What would you do with a problem like Dael?

Fry played 28 league matches last season. He played 28 of the first 30 league matches last season, missing the romp over Preston 4-0 and defeat at Leeds 3-2 through injury. When he's fit he plays. Why on earth do people think his place is the one under threat? He is 26 and it is him and VdB who...

Premier league team of the season

Opinions Marv. Could see Foden getting the left slot, but easily see Palmer get it too. Odegaard is Arsenal’s creative genius and impacts every match. He is absolutely brilliant.

Premier league team of the season

Any team without Odegaard is a joke. Saka and Odegaard play so well together too, so he plays for me too. White, Saliba, Gabriel and Rice make up 6 for me. Rodri and Haaland the only other certainties for me. LB, LW and GK up for grabs.

    Will Lankshear

I could never sing that. Ever. Hope he signs, is brilliant, but never gets a song.

35 years ago today we were relegated from Division 1 at Hilsborough

Third consecutive corner that Whitton nutted in, it just felt inevitable. Relegated too after beating them at Hillsborough 3-2 on May 1st 1993 Went back to Blue Bell in Yarm and met Directors in there. Gibson well ***ed and said he would never let it happen again. I smiled and thought nowt of...

    Help, I've been robbed!

Producers deliberately make Craft brewers and Micro breweries opaque. At the core are 2 issues: 1. Duty & Tax. Small brewers are classed as those who brew under 500,000 litres of standard beer (3.5-8.4% ABV) in a year. This equates to 3,055 barrels per year, 879,840 pints. It sounds a lot of...

    Man City or Arsenal

I'm at Emirates on sunday for the final match. I was there when they beat City earlier in the season and was told I had to be there for the last match if the title was still live. I'm really looking forward to it anyway, but have this awful feeling Spurs will be Spurs.
