18 holes regularly all the year round for me. We choose to play 9 holes or not play at all if it is very windy. That is much more often than rain. Rainy weather is infrequent so it hardly ever stops us playing. Mind you, when it rains it is normally very heavy.

You really do get used to it. Also, if you live near the coast it can be cooler in the summer. Compared to inland areas. Some inland areas of southern Spain are ridiculously hot in the summer.

For the warm and sunny winters. To get those you have to put up with the hot summers.

You should try living through the spring, summer and autumn in the south of Spain. Hayfever and heat. After a few years you feel that it is cold when you go back to visit people In England in the summer.
