He's standing down at the General Election, and the Labour candidate has already been selected for the constituency.

He's just making a statement against the government before doing so.

He is going to stop being an MP at the next election. So not with Labour in the commons that long.

Going to spend more time working as a hospital doctor. Plus advising Labour based on his experience.

What’s he going to advise? To reverse all the damage he’s actively supported the previous decade and a half. He’s just another c9nt.

Not in this case. He's been voting for tory policies since 2010, so all through Cameron, May, Johnson, Truss and Sunak. Maybe he's abstained on some but he seems to have been pretty loyal until now.

It seems Sunak's plan to cull the disabled was the straw that broke the camel's back. He balked at Arbeit Macht Frei.

He's an ex Tory, so it's fine.

Thing that worries me is, the Tories have been dismantling the NHS steadily for a while now. What has he seen that has made him want to leave now? How bad is it going to get before the GE?
